Tyson Named the National Player of the Week

The National Premier Soccer League is proud to announce its eighth National Player of the Week for the 2013 regular season.

The winner, for the week ending May 26th, is Quad Cities FC attacking midfielder/forward Kendrick Tyson.

Tyson registered 1 goal and 3 assists in a 5-2 rout of MN Twinstars.  He has a total of 3 goals and 8 assists through 6 games this season.

A standout at Davenport North HS, Tyson went on to great success at St. Ambrose University. He has been with the Eagles since 2011. He is committed to growing the game and his goals reflect that.

"I want to give back to the game, to help young players learn to play soccer and appreciate what it takes to be a good player," Tyson concluded.

The award, voted on by media from across the country, is part of the league’s commitment to honoring players, coaches, and staff for their exemplary work.  The announcement is made on Saturdays during the regular season exclusively on NPSL social media.
