Santa Clarita FC opens tryouts
New home for club thrills owners

SANTA CLARITA, CALIF. -- Tryouts commenced Sept. 17-18 at Santa Clarita’s beautiful Central Park. It kicked off with a bang as 22 players showed up for the chance to play for FC Santa Clarita in 2012. The tryouts brought out all kinds of talent from many different areas around California and beyond,  Jonathan Davison and Ian Tomlinson (England), Nura Mouktar (Nigeria), Afredo Sainz (Bolivia) as well as local talent Jorge Hernandez out of Valencia, Frank Diaz from Canyon Country and many others. Saturday started out warm at 4pm with small sided matches, crossing drills,finishing and wrapped up the day with small-sided games.

"We are very excited about being here in Santa Clarita," said CEO and founder of FCSC, Gerald Brunner, "We feel very privileged to be here. The city of Santa Clarita has welcomed us with open arms and we are most excited about the excellent relationship we have began with Mr. Carlos Marroquin of Planet Soccer Store and the SC Sky Blue Women’s Professional team that has been dong very well here.

Brunner went on to say, "With the reception we have gotten so far we feel confident that we will will be able to fulfill our vision of committing to the development of a unification of fans, players, parents, coaches and the entire community, laying down a foundation of growth for the youth and the communities of the Santa Clarita Valley."
